As a small company, PFTC provides an environment where employees can be comfortable and focus on their work.
Though a financial company based in the Wall Street area, PFTC maintains a casual work environment, both in terms of dress and interactions. There is not a lot of 'red tape' or bureaucracy here - we get things done.
Employees freely collaborate across department lines, get creative with ideas, and engage in debate over new approaches. It is a collegial rather than a competitive environment; dynamic rather than static. Mediocrity doesn't cut it here - in our line of business, our employees need to push boundaries, constantly increase their scope of knowledge, apply existing principles in new ways - and the way we accomplish this is through ongoing feedback, constructive criticism, and putting our heads together.
PFTC does demand a lot from its employees, but also understands the importance of work-life balance. Work hours are certainly manageable, vacation time is strongly encouraged to be taken, and there is always time to step out for a latte.
